We will make an announcement on this page when we are looking for interns for spring 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>Note! Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>Multicultural Centre Gloria offers internships for students. Internship at Gloria is suitable for those who are sociable, self-initiative and easily adapt to changing situations. We primarily accept students who are either studying or have experience in, for example, the following fields: guidance (e.g. youth and community counselor, social worker, community pedagogue), teaching, communications, marketing and cultural production. Priority in the selection is given to Gloria volunteers and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The intern must be able to understand instructions in plain Finnish and also have simple conversations in Finnish. If necessary and possible, we will use other languages to clarify instructions.<\/p>\n<p>Internship at Gloria is only possible from Tuesday to Friday. Internship days are 7,5 hours long and the hours are generally between 9 am and 4:30 pm. We hope that you can also join us on Tuesdays for game and discussion evenings until 6 pm, once a month on Thursdays in the language caf\u00e9 until 7:30 pm, and at occasional evening events. To ensure the smooth running of the internship and Gloria&#8217;s own operations, we hope that the intern can commit to being in the internship for the agreed time and does not have other overlapping studies.<\/p>\n<p>We mainly offer longer internships at Gloria (e.g. 3 months). We can also take interns for shorter internships (e.g. 3 weeks of language training) if the intern is interested in Gloria&#8217;s activities, has special skills that are needed at Gloria, and is active and self-initiative.<\/p>\n<p>In principle, we only take interns for one internship period. For justified reasons and according to Gloria&#8217;s needs, we can take the same intern for another internship period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic tasks of the interns:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>maintenance and organization of the space<\/li>\n<li>kitchen tasks<\/li>\n<li>preparation of materials used in groups<\/li>\n<li>reception and guidance of visitors<\/li>\n<li>assistance\/participation in groups<\/li>\n<li>assistance in event arrangements<\/li>\n<li>presentation of Gloria&#8217;s activities, e.g. at events and on social media<\/li>\n<li>in addition, possibly other tasks depending on the intern&#8217;s special skills, e.g. group management, content production for social media\/websites, photography, videography, making advertisements, translations of materials into different languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application schedule for autumn 2025:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first application period ends on 31 August.<\/li>\n<li>The second application period ends on 8 October.<\/li>\n<li>Please apply for the internship at least three weeks before your desired start date.<\/li>\n<li>We interview applicants during the application period and select an intern as soon as a suitable person is found.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send us your CV and application by email (<strong>harjoittelijahaku@gloriajkl.fi<\/strong>) and tell us in your application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>why you are interested in Gloria as an internship<\/li>\n<li>what tasks you are interested in<\/li>\n<li>what skills you have and how they would benefit Gloria<\/li>\n<li>what field of study are you a student in and for what period are you looking for an internship<\/li>\n<li>what language skills do you have in Finnish (especially spoken language) and do you know other languages<\/li>\n<li>are you willing to work flexibly in the evenings if necessary<\/li>\n<li>if you have to be away on certain days during your internship due to school or other reasons<\/li>\n<li>if there are any restrictions on your internship at Gloria that you would like to tell us about<\/li>\n<li>if you are a volunteer or visitor at Gloria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For more information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Community Facilitator Micha\u00ebl Fandi (available Tuesday-Thursday)<\/p>\n<p>Phone: 050 438 4267<\/p>\n<p>Email: michael.fandi@gloriajkl.fi<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Internship at Multicultural Centre Gloria The interns for fall 2025 have been selected.
