Are you looking for a place to practice Finnish with Finns? Welcome to Multicultural Center Gloria’s Finnish language groups!<\/h3>\n

Gloria’s Finnish language groups (Luetaan yhdess\u00e4, Toisto and the Finnish Discussion Group) are suitable for anyone who wants to learn Finnish. The groups are open to everyone and you can join at any time, even in the middle of the season. You can join as many groups as you want. The groups are taught by volunteer Finns or immigrants who know the language well. In the groups, you can practice speaking with Finns. Gloria’s own Finnish language groups are not official Finnish language courses that you can get a certificate for.<\/p>\n

Gloria’s own Finnish language groups<\/h3>\n

Luetaan yhdess\u00e4 (beginners\/intermediate level)<\/strong>
\nLearn and speak Finnish in small groups. Suitable for Finnish learners of all levels, including those who cannot read or write. Teachers and topics change every day, so you can easily join the group several days a week and learn new things. Learners are divided into small groups according to their level, meaning this group is suitable for both beginners and those with more advanced skills.<\/p>\n

TOISTO (beginners)<\/strong>
\nThe group is especially suitable for beginner Finnish learners who want to learn to speak everyday Finnish. No reading or writing skills are required. TOISTO always has a weekly theme, meaning the group will have the same content on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, you can attend both days if you want a refresher. In the group, everyone first studies together and then the group is divided into small groups to practice. The repeat method is based on listening and repeating.<\/p>\n

Finnish conversation group (intermediate\/advanced)<\/strong>
\nThe group is suitable for anyone who can speak at least a little Finnish and wants to practice conversation.<\/p>\n

Finnish language groups from other providers at Multicultural Center Gloria<\/h3>\n

The Adult Education Center and International House Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 also organize Finnish language groups at Gloria. You must register for these groups. The courses of Adult Education Center are paid. The International House Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Women’s Path group is already full for autumn 2026.<\/p>\n
