Internship at Multicultural Centre Gloria

Multicultural Centre Gloria offers internships for students. Internship at Gloria is suitable for those who are sociable, self-initiative and easily adapt to changing situations. Priority in the selection is given to Gloria volunteers and visitors.
The intern must be able to understand instructions in plain Finnish and also have simple conversations in Finnish. If necessary and possible, we will use other languages to clarify instructions.
Internship at Gloria is only possible from Tuesday to Friday. Internship days are 7,5 hours long and the hours are generally between 9 am and 4:30 pm. We hope that you can also join us on Tuesdays for game and discussion evenings until 6 pm, once a month on Thursdays in the language café until 7:30 pm, and at occasional evening events. We hope that the intern can commit to being in the internship for the agreed time and does not have other overlapping studies.
In principle, we only take interns for one internship period. For justified reasons and according to Gloria’s needs, we can take the same intern for another internship period.
Basic tasks of the interns:
- maintenance and organization of the space
- kitchen tasks
- preparation of materials used in groups
- reception and guidance of visitors
- assistance/participation in groups
- assistance in event arrangements
- presentation of Gloria’s activities, e.g. at events and on social media
- in addition, possibly other tasks depending on the intern’s special skills, e.g. group management, content production for social media/websites, photography, videography, making advertisements, translations of materials into different language.
